Description

A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the License Logging service that could allow an attacker who successfully exploited this vulnerability to take complete control of the affected system.

Customers should install the update, as listed in Microsoft Security Bulletin MS05-010, immediately.

Workarounds:

1. Disable the License Logging service: Disabling the License Logging service will help protect from remote attempts to
exploit this vulnerability.

2. Use the Group Policy settings to disable License Logging Service on all affected systems that do not require this feature.
